JOHN Is one of Terrington’s oldest residents and has a lifetime of adventures and stories to tell. If you’re new to the Village this is a great opportunity to meet people.
Born in 1920 and educated at Manchester Grammar School John joined the Royal Navy in 1938 rising through the ranks from Midshipman to Lieutenant Commander before undertaking a distinguished career as a Barrister. He has sailed on many different vessels including
Sail Training Schooners and has even sailed his own yacht round the Mediterranean. John lived in France for many years before moving to Terrington and this evening he will share with us some fascinating glimpses of his life and stories spanning the last 97 years.
